Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 20 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Lusitage website and to services provided by Lusitage.
By using this website or engaging Lusitage for services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Lusitage
Lusitage is an environmental wellbeing consultancy providing advisory services relating to residential environments, biophilic principles, sensory experience, spatial clarity and lifestyle-oriented environmental wellbeing.
Lusitage provides consultancy and recommendations rather than traditional interior design, architectural, construction, project management or procurement services.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Lusitage does not act as an architect, structural engineer, contractor, quantity surveyor, project manager, interior designer responsible for project delivery, medical professional or mental health professional.
2. Our services
Lusitage currently offers advisory services that may include:
Home Environmental Audits;
Biophilic Performance Strategies;
Room-by-Room Optimisation Plans; and
related environmental wellbeing consultancy.
The precise scope, deliverables, fees and timescales applicable to a service will be set out before work begins.
Lusitage may update, amend or discontinue services from time to time.
3. Consultation and suitability
An initial consultation may be offered to understand your requirements and determine whether Lusitage’s services are appropriate for your circumstances.
An initial consultation does not create an obligation for either party to proceed with paid services.
Lusitage reserves the right to decline a project where the requested work falls outside the scope of its services or where Lusitage considers that another professional would be more appropriate.
4. Client information
To provide accurate and relevant advice, Lusitage may require information from you, including photographs, plans, measurements, descriptions of your home, lifestyle information and your environmental priorities.
You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide is accurate and sufficiently complete.
Lusitage is not responsible for inaccuracies in recommendations resulting from incomplete, inaccurate or outdated information supplied by the client.
You should not provide sensitive medical or health information unless specifically requested through an appropriate process. The Lusitage website booking and enquiry forms should not be used to provide sensitive medical or health information.
5. Nature of recommendations
Lusitage provides recommendations based on the information available at the time of the consultation or assessment.
Recommendations may relate to environmental factors including light, spatial organisation, sensory experience, materials, nature integration, visual balance, recovery and focus.
Recommendations are intended to support the client’s consideration and decision-making. They do not constitute a guarantee of a particular health, psychological, medical, financial or performance outcome.
Where a recommendation involves specialist matters outside the scope of Lusitage’s services, such as structural work, electrical work, building regulations, planning, construction, fire safety or medical matters, the client should obtain appropriate advice from a suitably qualified professional.
6. Implementation
Lusitage does not normally undertake construction, installation, procurement or project management.
Where recommendations are implemented by an architect, interior designer, contractor, builder, supplier or other third party, that professional is responsible for their own work, specifications, measurements, calculations, installation and compliance with applicable requirements.
Lusitage is not responsible for the acts, omissions, workmanship, delays, costs or decisions of third-party professionals appointed by the client.
7. Fees and payment
Fees for Lusitage services will be communicated before the client commits to a service.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, work will begin once the applicable fee or agreed deposit has been received.
All fees are stated in pounds sterling.
Where applicable, prices will identify whether VAT is included or payable.
Lusitage reserves the right to update its pricing. The price agreed for a confirmed booking or service will not normally be changed retrospectively.
8. Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancellation and rescheduling arrangements will be communicated at the time of booking or engagement.
Where work has already commenced, cancellation may not entitle the client to a full refund.
Any refund will take account of work already completed, materials already prepared and any non-refundable costs reasonably incurred.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Deliverables and revisions
The specific deliverables included within a service will be agreed before work begins.
Unless otherwise stated, recommendations and documents are prepared for the individual client and their specified property.
Any additional work or revisions outside the agreed scope may be subject to an additional fee, which will be discussed with the client before the additional work is undertaken.
10. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, intellectual property in Lusitage’s original methodologies, frameworks, templates, systems, written materials and other materials created by Lusitage remains the property of Lusitage.
The client receives a non-exclusive right to use the materials provided to them for the purpose of applying the recommendations to their own home.
The client must not reproduce, resell, distribute, publish, commercially exploit or provide Lusitage’s proprietary materials to third parties for commercial use without prior written permission.
This does not prevent the client from sharing relevant project information with professionals involved in implementing recommendations for the client’s property.
11. Third-party products and services
Lusitage may identify or recommend products, materials, suppliers or services where relevant to a client’s brief.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, Lusitage does not act as the seller, manufacturer, installer or guarantor of third-party products or services.
The client is responsible for checking product suitability, specifications, availability, warranties and installation requirements before purchasing or using any recommended product.
Lusitage does not guarantee the availability, performance, quality or suitability of third-party products or services.

To the extent permitted by law, Lusitage is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or losses arising from decisions made by the client or from the implementation of recommendations by third parties.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
